Introduction: Patek Philippe 1588J; Vintage rectangular watch measuring 23 x 37mm with massive bold design case with rounded turned down lugs, and steeple sides. The watch is fitted with an 9"-90 caliber 18-jewel Manuel wind rectangular movement. The watch was manufactured in 1946-47 with strong hallmarks and in excellent condition. Essay: : Reference 1588, was produced from 1944 through 1955. It features a classic rectangular-shaped case and the rectangular caliber 9'''90 movement. Rectangular and square shaped cases were which Patek Philippe made most of the wristwatches of that time period. The dial signature and subsidiary seconds were engraved and hard enameled. According to our research, less than 30 examples are known of. They were mostly made in yellow gold with few examples in rose gold.
