White dial, applied Arabic numeral hours, gold leaf hands, two central blued steel hands.
Day and month indication, aperture at 12 o'clock, three auxiliary dials for leap years and 30-minute totalizer counter at 3 o'clock, for date and moon phases at 6 o'clock, for permanent second hand and 24-hour indication at 9 o'clock.
Three-body case, correctors on the middle, screwed back, sapphire crystal, visible movement.

In 1996, in the midst of a renaissance of Swiss watchmaking, the reference 5004 appeared, the first chronograph with perpetual calendar, moon phases and split-seconds function for the house of Patek Philippe. Its production ended in 2012.
Faithful to its tradition of taking up challenges, Patek Philippe resurrects the reference 2499 by thwarting the difficulty of adding the “Rattrapante” function. at the chronograph.
This function makes it possible to memorize intermediate times, a technical performance rarely encountered on wrist chronographs from series prior to 1980.
It is estimated that production is around 200 copies, in yellow, pink, white and platinum gold combined.
Through this major series complication, Patek Philippe confirms its leading position in this category, while combining technical prowess and aesthetics.
The classicism of this emblematic, timeless creation pays homage to the past century during which Patek never wavered in elegance and sobriety.
