The reference 5550J Pagoda was made in a limited edition of 1100 examples to celebrate the inauguration of Patek Philippe's new Geneva watchmaking facilities in 1997. Inspired by the 1940s ref.2441 'Eiffel Tower' the model was released with a matching ladies version, ref.4900, produced in a limited edition of 500 examples. The dyes and casts used to make the models were all destroyed ensuring the edition will never be duplicated.
