Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph Stainless Steel (2008)

Patek Philippe Nautilus 5980/1A-001 Chronograph Stainless Steel Box&Papers 2008 This is a Patek Philippe 5980/1A in steel with a blue dial. It comes complete with box and papers and is in excellent condition. Discontinued in 2014, the 5980/1A holds the distinction of being the very first Nautilus chronograph and the only one produced in stainless steel with the classic blue dial. An efficient monocounter at 6 o’clock combines both the 60-minute and 12-hour registers into a single display, making it quicker and easier to read elapsed time. It is a rare combination of design simplicity and mechanical ingenuity that collectors continue to chase. The watch presents itself in mint condition with little to no signs of wear. It showcases a blue gradient dial that features the embossed horizontal ridges, highlighted by luminous markers and the distinctive monocounter at 6 o’clock. Its rounded octagonal bezel frames the display with brushed vertical lines, while the integrated steel bracelet shows alternating brushed and high-polished finishes that catch light beautifully with every movement. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph. At 6 o’clock sits a clever monocounter subdial that combines both a 60-minute and 12-hour counter into one register, making it simple to track short events as well as longer durations without cluttering the dial. The upper pusher starts and stops the chronograph, while the lower pusher resets it to zero. It also features luminescent hour markers and hands, keeping everything easy to read, even in low light. This Patek Philippe has undergone a thorough inspection of water resistance, accuracy, functionality and condition to determine the level of reconditioning required to meet our strict standards. It has also been referenced against technical documents and manufacturer records where available to ensure authenticity and a clean history.
