Crafted with a three-part case that is 1 mm wider and slightly thicker than the reference 3700, it introduces a sapphire display back that reveals the movement inside, while remaining nearly identical aesthetically. The model instantly caught the interest of Patek Philippe collectors since it was equipped with a sweep center seconds hand in addition to the date function. It has since become a must-have item in modern collections due to its well-balanced proportions, elegant development of the Nautilus design, and everyday wearability.
