The Royal Oak and Nautilus were infamous for costing over 10 times more than contemporary steel watches, and yet it took a few years for the first references to actually sell out. \n\nToday, the Nautilus is iconic in every sense of the word. While the watch has become immensely popular as a result of pop culture, it still holds its own as piece of horological history.
