It has some gentle patina on the white dial.\n\nIntroduced in 1981, the ref. 3800 was a smaller version of the now-iconic ref. 3700 - the original Nautilus. It was designed to bridge the gap between the assertive and in-your-face 42mm case of the 3700 and the preference for smaller watches during the 1980s. The model also featured a central seconds, which was not present on the larger 3700.\n\nLike the Jumbo, the standard 3800 features the monobloc case construction with the now-iconic "ears" on either side. The finishing on the case is impressive, with both brushed and polished surfaces creating an attractive visual contrast.
