The case is strong and the hinges are tight. The crystal is probably replaced and is loose. The outside case back is monogrammed ‘DJP’ and the cuvette is inscribed ‘David J. Pearsall, from Mary Packer Cummings St. Valentines day 1904’. Please note that the associated chain tests as 10k gold and platinum and the approximate total weight is 42 g or 27 dwt including the pencil. Please note that the associated pencil is not propelling. Dial: The dial has signs of dust and debris present throughout, specifically around the outer edge. Enamel is intact. Movement: The split second chronograph function is not operating and will require service at the purchaser’s discretion. The repeating is slightly out of phase. After an inspection by a watchmaker, a complete overhaul of the movement is recommended at the purchaser’s expense and would cost approximately $2,000 with an estimated turnaround time of one to two months to complete. The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
