It is believed that the reference 5070 production was limited to 250 piece per year in each metal. It was in production for a relatively short time up until approximately 2010. The present example is a rare yellow gold reference 5070J-001 with a black dial, inspired by the design of reference 2512, a split-seconds chronograph wristwatch from the early 1950s that is currently housed in the Patek Philippe museum. The yellow gold reference 5070J-001 was only produced between 1998-2002 so it is believed that only 1000 pieces have been produced in yellow gold. The timepiece is also fitted with the Calibre CH 27-70, a Lemania based movement. Preserved in excellent condition and comes with the complete set, it's a rare definitive watch for collectors.
