The first ever Calatrava, launched in 1932, was known for its pared-down style, so this contemporary version is quite a departure from that aesthetic. Its ebony-black concentric dial boasts no less than three different types of finishing, including an embossed “carbon” motif centre, while the design is elevated by pops of yellow, echoed on the stitching of the embossed black leather strap. It was released to great fanfare at Watches and Wonders 2023 and also came in two other variations, which featured red or blue details, rather than yellow.
