The Patek Philippe Annual Calendar is a watch that was first introduced in 1996, and it quickly became one of the brand's most popular models. It was created as a more affordable alternative to the perpetual calendar, which is one of the most complex and expensive complications in watchmaking. The first Patek Philippe Annual Calendar was introduced in 1996, and over the years have released several different versions. In 2006, the brand introduced the first stainless steel version of the Annual Calendar Chronograph, the reference 5960/1A.
