Produced between 1952 and 1956, reference 2533 is an example of a lesser known but nonetheless stunning Calatrava-style wristwatch. By the mid century, Patek Philippe had already begun to create a screw back, waterproof line-up of time-only wristwatches to run alongside their more traditional designs with snap backs, and the present reference 2533 was one of them. Produced in a total run of only around 400 examples, only an estimated 100 were cased in pink gold.
