The case is made up of three parts with the bezel snap on and the case back snap on as well. These cases were made by Emile Vichet that is identified by the Geneva Masterkey 9 stamped on the case back. not more than 50 watches were made of the reference 2524/2524-1/2524-2. The movement is a First Quality by Fritz Piguet calibre 12 24-12'''. The present watch is only the 4th 2524/1 identified from the market and it is believed not more than a dozen were made. This example is preserved in very nice original condition. The dial features Dauphine hands and bullet shaped faceted hour markers. The hard enamel signature is complete and nicely raised and the pearling for the minute scale is nice and crisp. The case itself is very well preserved with a crisp hallmark to the left of the crown and another one underneath the lug. The lugs themselves have good proportions and are well defined. The minute repeating has a good tune and clarity and considering all of these components, make this watch a fine 2524/1.
