CALATRAVA "KING SIZE". REF. 2481 Produced circa 1959 Bracelet watch in 18K (750 thousandths) yellow gold. Case: round, pressure caseback, stepped handles in matt and polished gold, straight satin-finish gold caseband, curved bezel in polished gold, (maker Bernard Dubois, Le Locle). Dial: silvered, applied 'obus' hour markers, pearled minute track, dauphine hands and central seconds. Movement: mechanical, cal. 27SC, faux cotes decoration, double hallmark of Geneva, 18 jewels, N° 707'520. Strap: leather, gold buckle signed Patek Philippe (later). Dial, case and movement signed. Numbered 2'604'519. Diameter: 36 mm. Gross weight: 51.2 g. Provenance: Acquired in 1960 by Countess Nikoloff as a gift for the current owner's father on the occasion of his 30th birthday. La Tour d'Auvergne Collection. NB: Reference 2481 was offered with a variant of cloisonné enamel dials. (Operation not guaranteed). CONDITION REPORT: Micro scratches from use, wear, horn dent on lower right. Some pitting on the dial. 3 revision marks inside caseback. See photos of movement (scratches, stains). The movement was working at the time of writing, but cannot be guaranteed. Neither can the individual components, as repairs or restorations may have resulted in the replacement of some original parts. The movement has not been tested for accuracy, and may require service at the buyer's expense.
