Research shows that approximately 200 pieces of this reference were produced, the majority in yellow gold. Often referred, amongst collectors, as the Eiffel Tower due to the resemblance of the case to the first level of the famous Parisian symbol. The very specific architectural design of this reference, the rectangular case but with slopes and curves, was the inspiration for Patek Philippe’s designers who later created the “Pagoda”, launched in 1997 in celebration of the inauguration of the brand's new watchmaking centre in Geneva. Both references are celebrating this Art Deco design cue with squared terminating lugs and a large vaulted crystal surmounting the bridge that accompanies the dial from one side to the other.
