This watch, which revisits the rarely used Caliber PF354 chronograph by APRP (Audemars Piguet Renaud et Papi), is a definitive send-off to the model first introduced in 2009. The initial iterations of the Tondagraph Manual wind Tourbillon Chronographs from 2009 did not possess the power reserve indicator that appeared in the refreshed model of 2013, on which this piece-unique is based. Several limited-production pieces were released based on the refreshed PF354 mechanism, including models with traditional dials and skeletonized versions, typically produced in batches of 30 or fewer. Parmigiani Fleurier presented the final installment of the Tondagraph Manual wind Tourbillon Chronograph in 2020, equipped with a slate grey guilloché dial against a solid rose gold case, similar in configuration to the one presented here. Front side of the PF354 displays a tourbillon aperture, with its distinctive balance bridge and a barrel bridge, which adds symmetrical appeal to the dial arrangement. On the business side of the caliber is a traditional lateral-clutch chronograph mechanism with a column wheel that is mounted on the rear of the caliber. Softly shaped chronograph bridges and curved chronograph levers decorate the movement overall. The PF354 boasts all the hallmarks of haute horlogerie finishing standards, using techniques including  Côtes de Genève, perlage, circular brushing, straight grinding, sphere-polished shafts, flat-polished screw heads, traditional bevelling across the mainplate, bridges parts of the chronograph. The element that undoubtedly caught your attention first was the baguette-cut diamonds, which, to our knowledge, is the first and only execution of its type for this model and predates the similarly set Hijri Calendar. Each of the 92 stones is cut and set to perfection, totaling nearly 8 cts of stones, all bearing the same quality and craftsmanship that you would expect from a Haute Horology example from Parmiginai Fleurier.
