Parmigiani Fleurier Ionica

Description

Parmigiani Fleurier Ionica Prototype 18k White Gold (Original Design) Rare

The Ionica Hebdomadaire is Parmigiani Fleurier's most historically significant model — their first tonneau-case design, predating the Kalpa by two years, and the debut platform for the exceptional in-house Cal. PF 110. Long discontinued and seldom seen on the secondary market, it represents Michel Parmigiani's vision in its purest form. What is offered here is something rarer still: a confirmed factory prototype. Where all production examples carry the word "Parmigiani" in the dial's oval cartouche, this piece reads "8 Days" — a pre-production design study in which the movement's headline complication was foregrounded over the brand name, a decision reversed before serial production began. The 18k rose gold tonneau case features the brand's signature double-stepped knurled bezel, semi-flush curved lugs, a fluted cabochon crown, and sapphire crystals front and back. The silvered gold guilloché dial presents applied rose gold Breguet numerals, a javelin handset, a blued-hand power reserve arc at 12, running seconds at 6, and a date window at 3. Through the caseback, the tonneau-shaped Cal. PF 110 — with its Côtes de Genève finishing and 28 jewels — delivers a full 8-day (192-hour) power reserve on a single wind.
