At its core, this Panerai is a traditional Submersible diver's watch, featuring water resistance up to 300 meters, a titanium case back, a robust cushion-shaped case, a uni-directional bezel with a luminescent pip at 12 o'clock, and a dial decorated with Super-LumiNova.  The pip and minute hand glow a different color than the rest of the lume, allowing the wearer to read their diving times while in the water easily.  Additionally, ref. PAM 692 has a vibrant blue dial, a watch face we don't often see on Panerai watches.
