Time is displayed on a brown dial behind a sapphire crystal which is made from corundum; one of the hardest materials of all, after diamond. The glass is free from imperfections and completely transparent. Fitted to a brown leather strap with a composite pin buckle, the watch is powered by a calibre P.2002/7 manual wind movement, which was entirely built and developed by Panerai to ensure a long power reserve of 8 days. This special edition piece which pays homage to the historical link with the Italian Navy, is limited to just 1500 pieces worldwide and no longer available within dealerships, making it hard to come by. It is in mint condition - hardly worn and comes complete with a Panerai box and papers dated May 2011.
