The dial is black and has two layers (sandwich) which gives the numbers and markers an extra dimension from standard painted dials. The numbers and hands glow bright with Luminova. Most Panerai enthusiast feel "less is more" with a Panerai watch. This Luminor Marina has three simple complications which are hours, minutes and seconds. The seconds are shown with a small sub second dial at 9 o'clock and give this simple design a little more character. Of course, it has the Panerai patented locking crown, which lets others know your watch is unmistakably a Panerai watch.
