Since then I’ve learned a great deal. I’ve watched countless videos, spent hours on forums, and visited untold number of AD’s and boutiques around the world. I’ve been to live watch events and talked at length with other fellow WIS. I’ve had the privilege of experiencing hundreds of watches first-hand, across many types, brands, and price points. Throughout this journey, I have purchased nearly 150 watches for my collection, selling more than 100 of these watches on to new homes. Being party to well over 200 watch transactions, I think it is fair to say I’ve got some experience. I try to sell watches the way I would like other sellers to do when I am the buyer. I try to make sure that the pictures I provide are above-average, thereby allowing one to get a good look at the cosmetic condition. If I know there are flaws beyond very light normal wear, I will disclose it. If I know of mechanical issues, I will disclose it. Over 100 sales and counting, I have yet to hear from anyone who was disappointed with the condition of the watch they received. As a result of this selling approach, I have earned perfect feedback on auction sites and forums. Until Chrono24 implements feedback for private sellers, you will have to take my word for it, but there are dozens of happy buyers here too. THE WATCH I purchased this watch at the start of 2024 from a reputable U.S. watch dealer. I then sent it to Panerai for a full factory service. I will send that documentation with the watch to whoever purchases it. As a result of the service, the watch is under Panerai warranty until February 28, 2026. I’m selling it because I simply have too many Panerai. If I were wealthy beyond belief, and had a large home, I would keep every one of them with a smile. However, reality dictates that a few need to find new homes. Comes full set, box and papers. Authenticity is fully guaranteed by me as the seller. Panerai has serviced this watch since I’ve owned it, so no concerns at all with authenticity. You simply won’t find a nicer example of this watch currently for sale at any price. Condition The watch is in like new condition. Between the recent service and the DLC coating, I don’t think there is anything to distinguish this watch from the day it left Neuchâtel. I baby all of my watches, so it certainly has not acquired any wear since joining my watch box (beyond minor wear on the strap). My Impressions Outstanding watch. This is the first California dial in a Luminor case, and with only 300 made, it is definitely a watch worth a place in the collection. The black case, coupled with the domed crystal does make this watch wear just a little smaller than the 47mm diameter would suggest. It is also thinner than many of the Panerai in this size range, so it is big watch wrist presence without being an unwieldy monster. Lastly, the titanium makes the weight a non-issue.
