REF 5218 - 205/A NO 032/200 LUMINOR DAYLIGHT SLYTECH MADE IN 1996 steel, alligator width 44 mm , • cal. 6497 manual winding nickel lever movement, 17 jewels • white dial, black Arabic indexes, subsidiary seconds, luminous hands • polished stainless steel cushion case, patented crown guard, screw down case back with engraved Sylvester Stallone signature • case, dial and movement signed • with a Pre-Vendome stainless steel Panerai buckle, Launched in 1996, the Panerai Slytech Daylight had a planned production of 200 units; however the creation of these watches ceased after roughly 100 were made. The present lot is an interesting example as the case back bears the reference number for the Slytech Submersible, whereas the dial is white and designated with the Daylight nomenclature. Both of the Slytech models were modified 5218-201/A which were originally created in 1993. Officine Panerai was eventually sold to the Vendome Group (now Richemont) in 1997, immediately following the production of the Slytech watches.
