Footnotes In the 1980s Orfina was requested to create a watch for the German armed forces known as the Bundeswehr. Similar to the military pieces commissioned by the MoD there were certain specifications that brands needed to conform to for the watch to serve its purpose. One of the main indicators is the red 3H in a circle which signifies Hydrogen 3 or as it is more commonly known Tritium. Compared with the civilian version of this model, the military versions had screw down crowns to improve their water resistance.
The Lemania 5100 replaced the Valjoux 7750 which stopped around the late 70s before making a return in the 80s to rival the 'quartz crisis.' This model is also interesting for the introduction of a 24 hour subsidiary dial. Orfina Porsche Design. A military issue stainless steel automatic calendar chronograph wristwatch Model: BUND
