This is a limited edition Speedmaster released to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Apollo XV. There were six Apollo missions to the moon, and the twelve men who to this day remain the only people ever to have walked on its surface were all issued Omega Speedmasters. Apollo XV, the fourth mission, was the second longest and the first to use the Lunar Roving Vehicle, allowing the astronauts to make more extensive explorations of the surface than previous missions. This commemorative watch, featuring warm chocolate and gold colours, remembers Apollo XV with the mission patch on the caseback, alongside the names of the astronauts—Scott, Worden and Irwin.
