Apollo 15 was a mission of exploration and discovery. The astronauts covered an impressive 27.9 kilometers on the lunar surface in the Lunar Rover Vehicle and returned with numerous geological samples, including the famed "Genesis Rock," a piece of ancient lunar crust that provided invaluable insights into the moon's history.
