Terms. Pre-owned Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon ref 311.92.44.30.01.001 (2019) is a remarkable edition of the famed Moon Watch. It pays homage to the Apollo 8 mission, the first crewed mission to travel to the far side of the Moon, during which the famous quote "We'll see you on the other side" was uttered by astronaut James Lovell just before losing radio contact with Earth. Omega has immortalized that quote on the case back alongside the engravings, "APOLLO 8, DEC 1968" and “DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.” The watch pays tribute to the far side of the Moon even further by embracing an all-black design set featuring a perforated black leather bracelet, black ceramic case, and blackened movement laser-ablated to resemble the lunar surface, which is visible through both the exhibition case back and skeleton dial. Omega has cleverly depicted the far side of the Moon on the side of the movement facing the case back and the near side of the Moon on the side of the movement visible through the skeleton dial.
