This model is often referred to as the "Moon Watch" as it was the first watch to accompany both Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin as they took their first steps on the moon. The highly collectable Omega 321 Chronograph movement was a collaborative effort between Omega and Lemania which went on to be used by other companies such as Patek Philippe, Breguet and Vacheron Constantin. Put through rigorous testing and pitted against other brands such as Rolex and Longines and Hamilton, Omega`s Speedmaster was the only watch to survive and was chosen to be the watch to go to the moon. A beautiful and rarely available vintage Omega Speedmaster, the watch features an all-original black dial with three sub-dials, with white baton hour markers and hands, stainless steel case and a black bezel that has developed a lovely patina over the years. Originally purchased in 1965 and in Fine condition considering its age, the watch comes supplied with an Omega travel box and SWC authenticity card.
