The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean was first introduced in 2005 and this extremely capable dive watch quickly gained acceptance amongst the serious dive fraternity. The Planet Ocean ticks all the right boxes and slots into a very affordable value for money market segment.
There are a number of variants of the Planet Ocean, however this blue model is certainly the most iconic of all. An important feature of any professional dive watch is being able to easily read the time, especially in low-light conditions, and this blue Planet Ocean scores high in this factor.
Features include a domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, blue ceramic dial with Arabic numerals (at 12, 6 and 9), date window at 3 o’clock, blue ceramic uni-directional bezel with diving scale mounted to a 43.5mm stainless steel case. Also, there is a stainless-steel bracelet with extendable clasp, water resistance to 600 metres, screw-down crown, helium escape valve and transparent sapphire display caseback.
The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean can easily be dressed up or down with a leather or NATO strap. On the stainless-steel bracelet, the Planet Ocean will not look out of place under a jacket, on the beach, by the pool or on a weekend dive.
Powering the watch is the in-house Omega Master Chronometer calibre 8900 with Co-Axial escapement, automatic winding function, 60-hour power reserve and magnetic field resistance up to 15,000 Gauss.
The watch is in brand-new, unworn condition with factory stickers still on the watch.
The watch comes as a triple boxed complete with papers, manual, hang tag and plastic coffin box.
