An excellent example of Omega's awesome quality standards at that time. This Seamaster has been preserved in its original condition, it has never been restored or polished. It is an extremely collectible timepiece due to its superb condition. The bumper movement was fully serviced in 2020 by a renowned master watchmaker. It is in excellent working condition. According to the Omega archives, the reference CK 2576 was launched with the 1949 International Collection. A year earlier, in 1948, the first Seamaster series was launched. In 2018, to commemorate 70 years since that historic moment, Omega presented the 'Seamaster 1948', a luxury limited edition inspired by this reference 2576, among others. Please look carefully at the pictures, because they are an important part of the description. Remember details are magnified in high resolution pictures and many of them are not visible to the eye. DIAL Beautiful signed dial in its original condition, unrestored. It is in an excellent condition, with slight signs of aging and a light patina of time. Under magnification, tiny dots can be seen on the surface of the dial due to its age, but this is not noticeable to the naked eye. The original golden hands and the golden markers are in very good condition. CASE Original staybrite steel case in superb condition, unpolished and really well preserved. It has a few light scratches and tiny marks, but it is one of the best preserved Omega vintage case I ever seen. It keeps its sharp edges, it has mirror factory finish on lugs and bezel and it is brushed on the sides. Absolutely gorgeous. The case measures around 34.5mm in diameter excluding the original signed crown. Reference C 2576 - 4. MOVEMENT This Seamaster is powered by the in-house caliber 344, an excellent high-quality movement with swan-neck micrometer regulator and "bumper" rotor. It has been preserved in excellent condition, as shown on the pictures. It was fully serviced in 2020 and it is in an excellent working condition nowadays. However, this is a vintage mechanical watch, please do not expect the precision of a quartz watch. Accuracy can vary several seconds per day. Please note that vintage watches are delicate mechanisms and may need adjustment after travel.
