The crosshair silver sunburst dial has taken on a unique caramel patina in a mottled pattern and is a vintage lover’s dream. It is in fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and steel bar hour markers with black contrast, wider markers at 12 o’clock. There are a few tiny spots around the center of the dial. The baton hands have the original black contrast and are in fair condition with some visible corrosion. The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at around 1, 5 and 12 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and straight lugs is in fine condition with only light overall wear, mostly towards the lugs but also a few marks on the case sides. The stainless steel case back has a crisp and clean hippocampus medallion at its center and is in fine condition with a number of small marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished. The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality. Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 552 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in January 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning. This Seamaster has a dressier design than most of its siblings, and it looks great on the wrist with its wonderful dial and overall condition. This is a very versatile watch, going well with most occasions and it’s a perfect daily driver.
