Omega Seamaster Cosmic 166.133

Description

Omega Seamaster 166.133

Omega Cosmic 2000 year 1971-1972, Original is a large vintage wristwatch with a case width of just under 40mm. Despite its size, the watch has a relatively slim profile, with a nice curve down to the corners of the upper case. Traditionally, the addition of central seconds, the rotor for automatic working, and the sub-dial required for the day and date would be expected to substantially increase the depth of a watch. To ensure a modest case depth, Omega has used one of the slimmest automatic calendar movements, which is only 4.8mm high, and the steep bezel allows for the extra space needed for the seconds in the center, while the flat crystal ensures the depth between the face of the dial and the crystal are reduced to a minimum. The dial is in good original condition, with an intense metallic blue tone. The winding crown is equipped with two settings – when the crown is pulled to the first setting, the date can be moved either forwards or backwards by rotating the crown in either direction; by pulling the crown to the second setting, the user can advance the hands clockwise, while turning the hands counterclockwise also adjusts the days of the week.
