On the dial at 6 o’clock is engraved “Seamaster 300”. The hands are in stainless-steel with “Sword’ style. It has a unidirectional black bezel graduated up to 50. The watch has a stainless-steel screwed case with engraved outside “Seamaster – Waterproof – Certified High Pressure and inside “Omega Watch Co – Fab Suisse - Swiss Made – Acier Staybrite – 166024-67” SC. It is an automatic movement with caliber 565 and 24 jewels. This is the version with “naïad” crown, rarer than the variant with screw-in crown. This example is 100% original which is extremely rare. The case looks unpolished. Bakelite bezel with tritium graduations in nice condition (the wear caused by time on the bezel between 50 and 55; see photo nr 10) can hardly be seen with the naked eye. The big numerals are typical of the 1968-69 production. “T swiss made T” dial with tritium indexes showing a nice patina. The hands still have their original tritium without any loss, which is not common. Original steel bracelet ref. 1116 with 575 endlinks. Caseback with double bevel in very good condition, with the seahorse still visible. Plexiglas with Omega logo. The extract of archives mentioning it was delivered to Italy on 12th November 1968. The movement has been fully serviced by a professional watchmaker in 2022 but no papers work. You won’t easily find another example in such a nice original condition !
