32 × 44 mm / Steel / Quartz / Reference ST398.0836 / 1974 / functional. The Omega Constellation Megaquartz f2.4 MHz was the first wristwatch to be certified as a Marine Chronometer. It was long regarded as the "most precise and technically perfect wristwatch in the world" with a deviation of ±1 second per month. Omega quartz calibre 1511. Massive steel case machined from a single block of steel by Fontana in Sesto Calende, Italy. Case back screwed down. At the 6 o’clock position on the case the serial number 37'060'725 is engraved on a gold plaque. Comes with Omega box and outer carton.
