Description

Omega Constellation Pie Pan Arrowhead in 18k Gold (c. 1956)

For sale is a vintage Omega Constellation Pie Pan watch in gold, manufactured in approximately 1956 (15.2 million serial #). This iconic timepiece was first introduced in 1952 and quickly became a popular choice due to its precision, durability, and elegant design. A MOMENT IN TIME The "pie pan" nickname comes from the unique shape of the dial, which slopes downward towards the edge, creating a shape similar to a pie pan. The would have been one of the first watches powered by the then-new chronometer-certified automatic Caliber 505 movement - a replacement for the bumper movement that existed in pre-1956 models. This was a cutting-edge movement for the time. “De Luxe” watches were a very special variation of the Omega Constellation line. The fancy title refers to versions that not only sport solid gold cases, but also solid gold dials, and furnishings. Simply put, this Constellation is gold from head to toe…and dressed to impress! CONDITION This particular Omega Constellation Pie Pan is in excellent condition, with only minor signs of wear. The 35mm case is made of solid gold, and the dial features gold hour markers and hands. The watch comes brown leather strap. The watch comes with the original signed crown THE VALUE PROP This vintage Omega Constellation Pie Pan is a rare find and a must-have for any serious watch collector who appreciates the sophistication of true vintage sizing, a trend that is once again on the up-swing. It not only represents an important moment in the history of watchmaking, but it also boasts timeless style and impressive functionality.
