This is where the legend began. -The story of this watch starts in 1952, during the dawn of modern automatic chronometer watchmaking. It still retains its original store papers from the time of purchase, while the movement serial number 13.037.493 perfectly confirms the production period. -This example is not simply a watch — it represents the beginning of an era. -The iconic “Shark Teeth” hour markers, specific to the first generation Constellations, together with the faceted Dauphine hands, give the dial an elegant yet powerful presence highly appreciated by collectors. The crosshair configuration, the full “Automatic Chronometer Officially Certified” inscription, and the applied star above 6 o’clock define the identity of the early Constellation models. • Case reference: CK 2852 • Inner caseback: 242389 – Omega Watch Co, Swiss Made • Case manufacturer: PBF (Piquerez Frères) – the renowned Swiss case maker used by Omega during the 1950s • Movement: Omega Cal. 501 Automatic Chronometer – one of Omega’s finest early automatic chronometer movements • Jewels: 19 • Adjusted to: 5 positions • Movement serial number: 13.037.493 • Diameter: 35 mm excluding crown Case & Dial • Solid 18K rose gold case, approximately 24.7 grams without movement • Excellent Observatory medallion on the caseback, symbol of Chronometer certification • Original dial with beautiful and even natural patina -The watch has been serviced, runs correctly, and remains in very good condition considering its more than 70 years of history. -It is fitted with a high-quality custom-made ostrich leather strap, completed by an Omega gold-plated buckle. -Comes together with an Omega Constellation presentation box.
