Released in 2003 to celebrate the Silver Snoopy award given to Omega for the Speedmaster‘s involvement in the 1970 Apollo 13 mission. If you don’t smile while looking at this dial I don’t know what to tell ya! Such a cool watch, only made in limited numbers, and they rarely come up, especially in ultra clean condition and a full collector set! REFERENCE: 3578.51.00 SERIAL: 77,128,8XX YEAR: 2003 DIAL: Bringing some Speedmaster history to the table while also reminding us to not take everything so seriously! Just stunning, even under a loupe/macro maybe a spec of dust or two but gorgeous all around. Original signed Omega plexi crystal has light wear but nothing that distracts from the beautiful dial. CASE: 42MM stainless case appears unpolished with sharp lines, great brushing, and only light wear. Awesome to see the limited edition Snoopy artwork on the back! All in, think you’d be hard pressed to find a nicer example! MOVEMENT: Iconic hand wound cal 1861 chronograph. Service history unknown but just checked out by my watchmaker and it’s running very well, chronograph snaps back to 12, winding is like butter, and timegrapher’s showing a near perfect 2 seconds a day and a very healthy amplitude of 309! BRACELET: Comes on it’s original Omega stainless bracelet that fits large, over 7.5 inches. Bracelet has light wear as expected but looks fantastic. Also comes with an aftermarket blue leather strap and deployant clasp - pairs beautifully with the pop of the blue from Snoopy! ACCESSORIES: Just awesome to see - comes complete with its original double Omega boxes including the inner Snoopy box, original limited edition matching numbers paperwork, booklet, open warranty card (common for the Japanese market) and even the serialized hang tag - COLLECTOR GRADE!
