Omega

This model was inspired by the Speedmaster that astronaut Wally Schirra took into space in 1962, before the Speedmaster was certified by NASA. The shiny black dial and the combination of bezel and alpha hands give the watch a slightly retro feel. The Cal. 1861, the famous movement that was installed in the model used for the moon landing, is mounted on this watch, symbolizing the strength of the watchmaker's attention to detail. The back of the watch is engraved with a seahorse, as on the 1962 model.
