The black inverted panda sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a white print Omega logo and lettering and barely any marks. It has three subdials at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, displaying the hour counter, running seconds and minute counter respectively. The dial has lume strip hour markers and white painted stripes for minutes and seconds. The white baton hands are in very fine condition, with the original lume intact. The window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial. The stainless steel tachymetre bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, such as at around the 225 and 65 numbers. The stainless steel case with the original crown and pushers and the beautiful bombe lugs that are a characteristic of the Speedmaster has brushed face and sides, with polished bevels. It is in fine condition with light overall wear, perhaps most notable at the upper right lug. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition with a crisp and clean hippocampus logo in its center and very little overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished. The original bracelet is in very fine condition, with little stretching and only light overall wear. It is big enough for large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp. Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1152 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in December 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
