Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Ultraman - Model Ref: ST 145.012-67 - 1968

We are over the moon to be able to offer this VERY rare 1968 Omega Ultraman Speedmaster for sale in excellent condition complete with its original box and an archive from Omega authenticating its originality. What a find! The Ultraman is an original watch produced by Omega in meagre numbers (possibly as low as 50 pieces). The presence of the extra long zesty orange chronograph hand (The length of the hand is unique to this watch) is documented in the extract - see photographs. This long chrono hand is the main point of difference, however, the Ultraman dial is pure black and has a satin varnish as opposed to the matt anthracite grey of the standard ST 145.012s and the dial has much more depth than the standard model too - or it appears this way for sure. The example on sale today is in exceptional condition, at nearly 60 years old it has been remarkably well preserved and we are proud to offer for sale such a rare piece in such fine condition with authentication from Omega to accompany it! The domed dial has remained intensely black and the lume plots on the hour have aged to a beautiful pale vanilla. The counters remain crisp and the white accents punch out from the dial giving a super sporty aesthetic which is of course finished perfectly by the bright orange chrono hand. The acrylic crystal is signed Omega and is blemish-free, and the dot over 90 bezel is in superb condition. This is possibly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire an original Omega Ultraman, as the production run was short to begin with, and the numbers remaining in circulation dwindle, they may become almost extinct!
