The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear. The caseback has some deeper scratches that appear to be from opening the caseback. The caseback engravings are still visible. The crown appears to be a later, service replacement. The "dot over 90" bezel is in great condition with some wear and scratches; it has a slight indentation on the edge near one o'clock. The step dial is in great condition with light patina and some light wear. The hands have developed patina. The lume on the dial has developed patina and aged to a lovely yellow color and the lume in the hands matches fairly well. This watch has a 1039 bracelet with 26 links and no. 516 end links; the clasp is stamped "2/68." The bracelet is in great condition with some wear and scratches. The "elastic" links on both sides of the clasp still have tension. The Omega signed crystal is in great condition with light wear and scratches.   The Omega 145.012 was the last of the Speedmasters to use the famous original caliber 321 hand-wound movement before it was replaced with the caliber 861. It was also the last to feature the drop counter weight on the end of the seconds hand. If you love a vintage watch with intriguing history, this Omega Speedmaster delivers. The reference 145.012 was worn on the wrist of multiple astronauts during Apollo 11, Apollo 14 and Apollo-Soyuz missions.  Other features we think you will appreciate on this reference are the classic step dial with an applied Omega logo, both of these elements add depth to the dial. This also has the classic Professional asymmetrical case that many die-hard collectors adore with twisted "Lyre" lugs and a black dot over 90 (DON) Tachymeter bezel. When examining the movement closely, we can see "OXG" stamped which was the Omega US import code at the time indicating this watch was made for the US market.   Our example was produced around 1968 and is in overall lovely condition. This watch has aged beautifully over the years from the striking yellow lume color to the well preserved bezel. This Speedy checks all the boxes if you are looking for a great 321 with lovely patina.
