History The Speedmaster was originally designed for race car drivers hence the name 'Speedmaster'. In 1965 the NASA selected the Speedmaster to be worn on Space Missions and ultimately during the Apollo XI mission which landed on the Moon. The Speedmaster reference 145.012 was produced in 1967 and 1968, although some examples were made early 1969. This watch has the original so called 'Flat link' reference 1039 bracelet. The movement (caliber 321) has been fully service by a vintage Speedmaster specialist and comes with 3 Year Warranty. The watch comes with an Extract of The Archives from Omega.
