The most distinguishable feature of these chronographs was the art deco font and matchstick type markers used on the subsidiary dials. This dial first appeared on Rolexes in the early 1960s, with Nivada adopting them on the current reference at the start of the 1970s. The current lot also houses the much admired Valjoux calibre 72 movement.
