The Movado El Primero movement found in the present example is no less worthy of attention than its Zenith counterpart and features a date at 12 o’clock instead of the usual position between 4 and 5. In other words, this Datron HS 360 is a testament of durability that speaks for Movado’s accomplishments at the near end of its golden age. Please read the condition report carefully and refer to the high resolution pictures to assess the condition of the watch. MODEL / REFERENCE: Movado “Datron HS 360” reference 434-705-502. DIAL+HANDS: The matte black dial follows a reverse panda color scheme, with three contrasting silver subdials executed in guilloché motif. Overall, the dial is nearly immaculate with its crisp imprint and no defects. A warm patina can be observed when inspecting it closely. • The unusual position of the clean date window at 12 o'clock creates a symmetry to the dial. • The tachymeter scale surrounding the outer edge is clean with sharp printing. • The correct hands in highly polished steel come in lovely condition with untouched tritium inlays that acquired a warm beige tone. • The applied hour markers still retain their original luminous mass. The Tritium inlays are fully intact and match the handset’s patina. CRYSTAL: The domed acrylic glass is in good condition with only few minor signs of wear CASE: The tonneau-shaped stainless steel case measures 37.5 mm in diameter and 43mm from lug to lug. The sleek bezel makes the chronograph appear a bit larger on the wrist. The case is most likely unpolished as it maintains a strong profile with sharp bevels along the sides and unaltered brushed finish. It displays lights signs of wear for its age, commensurate with careful wear. CASE BACK: The dodecagonal, screw-down case back shows a well pronounced “Sub Sea” engraving. The caseback bears light signs of use. The inner side is clean and bears the period-correct stamps. CROWNS + PUSHERS: The correct winding crown bears the brand’s signature and operates flawlessly, all the way to quick-setting the date function. The pump chronograph pushers work correctly, starting, stopping and resetting with a crisp feedback. MOVEMENT: This Datron is powered by the emblematic Zenith El Primero Cal. 400. The self-winding movement features 31 jewels and beats at an impressive rate of 36000 vibrations per hour. It offers a Tri-Compax display, featuring constant running seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30 minutes recorder at 3 o’clock and a 12 hour totalizer at 6 o’clock. The movement also allows a quick-set date function at 12 o’clock. The movement runs strong and keeps good time, with all functions working perfectly. BRACELET: original stainless steel bracelet in very good condition and light stretch. It fits a wrist of approx. 18.5 cm. The folding clasp closes securely and displays the correct nomenclature, as well as the distinctive Movado logo. ACCESSORIES: Saffiano Leather Watch Roll. This horological artifact from the 1970s is a truly undervalued gem with significant watchmaking pedigree. The dial, crown, case back, movement, and clasp are signed Movado. The watch is fully functional and ready to be worn. WARRANTY: We guarantee the authenticity of the watch. We also provide 12 month guarantee for the correct function of this timepiece. All guarantees are subject to the General Terms and conditions. Please feel free to ask questions, we will be glad to answer. Virtual or face-to-face viewing is available by appointment.
