Launched in 2021 following the debut of a piece unique concept model in 2020, the MING 20.01 Series II Chronograph Special Projects Cave was offered as a limited edition model of just 50 pieces from MING’s 'Special Projects Cave' that signified the evolution of MING’s ability as an independent watchmaker. Boasting a stunning 41.5mm x 14.2mm DLC-coated grade-5 titanium case featuring all of MING’s now-signature design cues such as their pagoda lugs, distinctive crown, and domed bezel, the 20.01 is a MING through and through. However, on its inside it is a different beast. Powered by the Agengraphe cal. 6361.M, this watch features one of the finest and most complex modern chronographs on the market. Boasting complex DLC-coated architecture, the cal. 6361.M realizes itself in the 20.01 through its unique combination of hands on the dial side. Instead of traditional subdials, it features four centrally-located hands, two for the hours and minutes as you would expect, and another two for the chronograph, one for the running seconds and one for the running minutes, which jumps from minute to minute instantly. As a result of its uninterrupted dial, the 20.01 features a laser-etched transparent mosaic dial that results in a captivating design that tops off this incredibly unique and rare timepiece. THE CONSTRUCTION Featuring a grade 5 titanium case with a DLC finisg, the 20.01 retains all of MING's signature design cues such as their pagoda lugs, domed bezel, and unique winding crown, which is joined by two pushers for its chronograph.
