We are proud to offer this sporty, yet refined chronograph issued by Minerva, a brand that has started garnering significant attention from devoted collectors for presenting substantial value as one of the most accomplished manufacturers of the last century.
Just like Minerva -the goddess of a thousand works- the present chronograph, with its waterproof sturdy case and fabled Valjoux 72, is also worthy of the title as it clearly demonstrates the brand’s uncompromising pursuit of perfection on the inside and out.

MODEL / REFERENCE: Minerva VD712 chronograph that dates to the 1960s.
DIAL+HANDS: The silver, sunburst dial manifests a perfect balance between a crisp, minimalist imprint and great legibility. Engine-turned subdials. The watch feature an original, blued handset with tritium lume, matching the tritium numerals on the dial.
CRYSTAL: The acrylic crystal is in very good condition, showing no chips or major scratches.
CASE: With a sweet-spot diameter of 36mm, the stainless steel case boasts a good presence on the wrist, thanks to its long, twisted lugs.
The case appears to be unpolished, as it retains a strong profile and super-sharp lugs.
CASE BACK: The stainless steel, screw-down case back comes in lovely aesthetic condition, with some scratches throughout and opening marks around the six notches. The center displays a well-pronounced logo and reference number, surrounded by a legible engraved text at the periphery.
The inner side is clean and decorated with a concentric pattern. It bears the Minerva signature, along with the case’s serial number.
CROWN + PUSHERS: This watch comes with an unsigned “mushroom” crown that seems likely original. It can be commonly seen on these Minerva chronographs. It winds the watch and sets the time flawlessly.
The pump pushers appear to be original as well. They start, stop and reset the chronograph module perfectly.
MOVEMENT: The present Minerva houses the illustrious Valjoux 72 calibre to animate its functions. Renowned for its performance, precision, and robustness, this manually wound movement features a two-button, three-register, chronograph layout and a column wheel.
This calibre is signed and has been checked. It runs strong, keeps very good time and the chronograph functions work as intended.
BRACELET: The watch comes on a green lizard strap with unsigned steel buckle.
