Launched in 2021 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of MB&F’s Legacy Series, the MB&F LMX is one of the most intricately designed and aesthetically exciting timepieces to come from Max Büsser’s Genevan workshop to date. Featuring two independent time zones across two slanted white enamel sub-dials at the front of the watch, an impressive seven day-long of power reserve with a rotating vertical power reserve indicator and an array of visible mechanics such as a 13.4mm balance wheel with inertia blocks, and gear-train components amongst other parts, the LMX is about as out of this world as a timepiece can get. Limited to just 33 pieces and housed within a 44mm x 21.4 mm titanium case, the LMX is a watch that bows to nobody. While its dimensions suggest that it would be a heavy watch, the LMX’s titanium construction allows it to wear lighter than one might expect. Featuring its incredibly beautiful green dial, a show-stopping central flying balance within its signature domed sapphire crystal and mesmerising mix of mechanical merriment, the LMX pays homage to Legacy Series in the best way possible. Symmetrical on its dial side and through its caseback, the LMX’s three-dimensional horological movement was developed exclusively by MB&F and created so that the LMX looks just as good from behind as it does the front. THE CONSTRUCTION While tall at 22.4mm, the LMX's domed sapphire crystal makes for the perfect enclosure for its titanium case as it enables the wearer to enjoy the timepiece's mechanics on a 3D plane, which is completely different to a standard skeletonized watch.
