This type of watch is no longer manufactured or offered by Maurice Lacroix for a long time. Due to this and of course the fact that you are bidding on an exhibit in absolute top condition, a steady increase in value is guaranteed with further careful treatment of this luxury watch.
A comparable "Pontos - Date" costs in the stainless steel / gold version currently already 1,890.00 eur, but is, in my opinion, nowhere near as beautiful to look at as the piece offered here.
Description and condition of the watch:
The watch offered here comes from a private collection. Judging by its condition, it was worn only very, very little and extremely carefully. Accordingly, and especially in relation to its age, it is in really very good condition.
There are no deep scratches, scrapes, dents or "dings" etc. on the case, bezel, lugs, crown or crystal. The fine abrasion marks on the polished case parts (superfine micro scratches), which always and immediately occur when a watch is worn and stored for many years, are of course not completely missing here, but they are unusually minimal and can only be seen on very, very careful inspection, but never when the watch is worn "normally" (nevertheless, I have to mention this here, of course).
The beautiful, handmade, dark brown Maurice Lacroix crocodile print genuine leather strap is brand new. Surely it will give you a lot of pleasure for a very long time.
About the accuracy of a Maurice Lacroix luxury automatic watch, I think, no need to talk further.
Basically, I have every watch before the offer setting by my watchmaker on ORIGINALITY, function and accuracy.
Result of this inspection: Everything i. o.. The watchmaker has also confirmed the good condition of the watch in writing. This inspection confirmation you will receive of course.
The case as well as the two pushers and the crown are ten micron 750 gold hard plated (for comparison, normal watches are 3 micron gold plated).
Since the glass has no scratches despite its age, I suspect that this is a sapphire crystal.
However, I do not know exactly and can not and do not want to verify this (with a pointed object).
