This watch model has not been produced or offered by Maurice Lacroix in this version for a long time. Because of this and of course the fact that you are bidding on an exhibit in absolute top condition, a steady increase in value is guaranteed if this luxury watch continues to be treated with care.
The current hau-Pontos "Date" costs in the steel / gold version already 1,890.00 eur, but is, in my opinion, nowhere near as beautiful to look at as the piece offered here.
Description and condition of the watch:
The watch offered here comes from a private collection and, judging by its condition, has only been worn very, very little and extremely carefully at that. Accordingly, and especially in relation to its age, it is in a really excellent condition.
There are no deep scratches, dents, scuffs or "dings" etc. on the case, the bezel, the lugs of the crown or the crystal. The fine abrasion marks on the polished case parts (super fine micro scratches), which always and immediately occur when a watch is worn and stored for many years, are of course not completely missing here, but they are unusually minimal and can only be seen on very, very close inspection, but never when the watch is worn "normally" (nevertheless, I must of course mention this here).
The beautiful, handmade, black Maurice Lacroix crocodile-print genuine leather strap is brand new and will certainly give you a lot of pleasure for a very long time.
About the accuracy of a Maurice Lacroix luxury automatic watch, I think, no need to talk further.
In principle, I have every watch checked by my watchmaker for ORIGINALITY, function and accuracy before I put it up for sale.
Result of this examination: Everything i. o.. The watchmaker has also confirmed the good condition of the watch in writing. You will of course receive this inspection confirmation.
The case as well as the crown are ten micron 750 gold (!!!) hard gold plated (for comparison: normal watches are 3 micron gold plated).
Since the watch glass has no scratches despite its age, I suspect that this is a sapphire crystal. However, I do not know this for sure and would not like to verify this (with a pointed object).
