This watch is no longer produced or offered by Maurice Lacroix in this version for a long time. Because of this, and of course the fact that you are bidding on an exhibit in absolute top condition, a steady increase in value is guaranteed if this luxury watch continues to be treated with care.
Today's Les Classiques-DayDate with the same basic movement currently costs 990.00 eur, but is, in my opinion, nowhere near as beautiful to look at as the model offered here.
Description and condition of the clock:
The watch offered here comes from a private collection. Judging by its condition, it has been worn only very, very little and extremely carefully. Accordingly, and especially in relation to its age, it is in a really excellent condition.
There are no deep scratches, dents, scuffs or "dings" on the case, bezel, lugs, crown or crystal. The fine abrasion marks on the highly polished gold-plated case parts (super fine micro scratches), which always occur when wearing and storing a watch for many years, are of course not completely absent here, but they are unusually minimal and can only be seen on very, very close inspection, but never when wearing the watch "normally" (nevertheless, I have to mention this here, of course).
The super soft, brown genuine leather strap is brand new and will certainly give you a lot of pleasure for a long time.
I don't think there's any need to talk about the accuracy of a Maurice Lacroix Les Classiques luxury quartz watch.
The watch was subjected to a complete functional test before I put it up for sale. This was of course flawless and without complaint. However, I can not give any information about the remaining life of the battery (currently the watch runs without problems).
The case as well as the two pushers and the crown have been hard gold plated ten micron 18K (750) gold (!!!) (for comparison: normal watches are 3 micron gold plated).
Since the watch glass has no scratches despite its age, I suspect that this is a sapphire crystal. However, I do not know this for sure and would not like to verify this (with a pointed object).
