This chronograph is no longer manufactured or offered by Maurice Lacroix in this version. Because of this, and of course the fact that you are bidding on an exhibit in very good condition, a steady increase in value is guaranteed if this luxury watch continues to be treated with care. Today's Les Classiques chronograph with the same basic movement currently costs 1,090.00 eur, but is, in my opinion, nowhere near as beautiful to look at as the piece offered here.
Description and condition of the clock:
The watch offered here comes from a private collection. Judging by its condition, it has been worn very little and extremely carefully. Accordingly, and especially in relation to its age, it is in a really very good condition.
There are no deep scratches, dents, scuffs or "dings" etc. on the case, lugs, crown, pushers or crystal. The fine abrasion marks on the gold plating of the case (super fine micro scratches), which always and immediately occur when wearing and storing a watch for many years, are of course not completely absent here either, but they are unusually minimal. Only on the bezel there is a small bump. This can only be spotted when looking closely at the watch, but not when wearing it "normally", but nevertheless I have to mention it here of course.
The beautiful, super soft, black lizard print genuine leather strap is brand new and will surely give you a lot of pleasure for a very long time.
I don't think there's any need to talk about the accuracy of an ml-Les Classiques quartz luxury watch.
The watch was subjected to a complete functional test by me before the auction. This was of course flawless and without complaint. However, I cannot give any information about the remaining life of the battery (currently the watch runs without problems).
The case as well as the lugs, the two pushers and the crown have been ten micron 18K (750) white gold (!!!) hard gold plated (for comparison: normal watches are 3 micron gold plated).
Since the glass has no scratches despite its age, I suspect that this is a sapphire crystal. However, I do not know this for sure and do not want to verify this (with a pointed object).
